The legal predecessors of University of Sopron have a long history with the oldest one dating back to 1735. The institution went through several structural changes; it is successor of University of West Hungary and offers up-to-date knowledge at four faculties specializing in forestry and wood technology, pedagogy and economics. Our academic offer includes programs from bachelor level (BA, BSc) to master level (MA, MSc), as well as the doctoral level (PhD) in three languages: Hungarian, English and German. The university has more than 200 staff members and more than 4000 students.
The Institute of Informatics and Economics was established in 2002, and is responsible education programs in business information technology. The institute belongs to the Simonyi Károly Faculty of Engineering, Wood Sciences and Applied Arts which makes possible the active participation of the teaching staff and the students in several national and international projects where the application of ICT can provide basically new responses to the traditional and new questions. The institute offers business information technology program in Bachelor and Master levels, engineering management program in Master levels and Ph.D. programs in both fields as well. Students participate in the research projects as part of their individual lab and thesis assignments.
The institute is responsible for the ArtApp mobile application development.

L’histoire de l’université de Sopron débute en 1735. L’institution a connu de nombreux changements structurels, elle succède à l’université de l’ouest de la Hongrie et offre les dernières avancées dans quatre facultés spécialisées dans la foresterie et les technologies du bois, la pédagogie et l’économie. Notre offre académique va de la licence au doctorat, et est proposée en trois langues : hongrois, anglais et allemand. L’université comprend plus de 200 employés et 4000 étudiants.
L’institut d’informatique et d’économie a été fondé en 2002, et est responsable des programmes de formation en technologie de l’information commerciale. L’institut dépend de la faculté Simonyi Károly d’ingénierie, de science du bois et d’arts appliqués qui rend possible la participation active du personnel enseignant et des étudiants à de nombreux projets nationaux et internationaux dans lesquels le développement des TIC peut offrir de nouvelles ressources à des questions anciennes ou nouvelles. L’institut propose des formations en technologie de l’information commerciale aux niveaux Licence, Master et Doctorat, ainsi que des Master et Doctorat en gestion technique. Les étudiants participent aux projets de recherche dans le cadre de leur mission dans les laboratoires et dans leur formation à la recherche.
Dans le projet LALI, l’institut est responsable du développement de l’application ArtApp.

Institut für Informatik und Wirtschaft wurde 2002 gegründet und ist verantwortlich für pädagogische Programme und Wirtschaftsinformationstechnologie. Das Institut gehört der Simonyi Károly Fakultät für Technik, Holzwissenschaften und angewandter Kunst an, was eine aktive Teilnahme der Lehrenden und der Studierenden an einigen nationalen und internationalen Projekten ermöglicht und wo die Anwendung neuer Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik neue Antworten auf bekannte und neue Fragen bereitstellen kann. Das Institut bietet ein Studium der Wirtschaftsinformationstechnologie im Bachelor und auf Master Niveau, Studium des Ingenieursmanagement auf Master Niveau und zudem Ph.D. Programme in beiden Feldern an. Das Institut bietet weiters Studierenden die Teilnahme an Forschungsprojekten als ein Teil ihrer individuellen Labor- und Abschlussarbeit an.

Instituutio on käynyt läpi monia rakenteellisia muutoksia; se on Länsi-Unkarin yliopiston seuraaja ja tarjoaa ajanmukaista tietoa neljässä tiedekunnassa, jotka erikoistuvat metsä- ja puuteknologiaan, kasvatustieteeseen ja taloustieteeseen. Sen akateeminen tarjonta sisältää alemman (BA, BSc) ja ylemmän (MA, Msc) korkeakoulututkinnon tasoisia opetusohjelmia sekä tohtorikoulutusta (PhD) kolmella kielellä: unkariksi, englanniksi ja saksaksi. Yliopistossa on yli 200 henkilökunnan jäsentä ja yli 4000 opiskelijaa.
Informatiikan ja taloustieteen laitos perustettiin 2002, ja se vastaa liiketoiminnan teknologian opetusohjelmista. Laitos kuuluu Simonyi Károlyn tekniikan, puunjalostusteknologian ja taideteollisuuden tiedekuntaan, joka mahdollistaa sekä opettajakunnan että opiskelijoiden aktiivisen osallistumisen moniin kansallisiin ja kansainvälisiin projekteihin, joissa ICT-sovellukset voivat tarjota uusia vastauksia perinteisiin ja uusiin tutkimuskysymyksiin. Laitos tarjoaa alemman ja ylemmän korkeakoulututkinnon liiketoiminnan teknologia -opetusohjelmia sekä tuotantotalouden ylemmän korkeakoulututkinnon ja tohtoritutkinnon ohjelmia. Opiskelijat osallistuvat tutkimusprojekteihin osana heidän henkilökohtaisia laboratoriotehtäviään tai opinnäytteitään.
