Elan Interculturel is an organisation created by psychologists, researchers, trainers – most of whom were immigrants in Paris – who were interested in exploring and developing new methods to facilitate intercultural communication, collaboration and adaptation.
The main objectives of Elan Interculturel are:
- To create a better understanding of how diversity affects our life,
- To raise awareness of the resources inherent in diversity and
- To develop competences for individuals and organisations to benefit from cultural diversity and cross-cultural transitions.
Our work concentrates around three thematic poles:
- Development of intercultural competences for professionals, mostly in the education, social and health sectors.
- Developing skills for integration and entrepreneurship for migrants in particular women migrants
- Art mediation, using artistic creation and the encounter with art as a means for dialogue and personal development,
Since its creation Elan Interculturel provided intercultural training to more than 1000 professionals working in the social, education and health sectors, offered number of workshops for migrants, people in intercultural mobility, participated in more than twenty European partnerships on different aspects and target groups of intercultural dialogue and adaptation.
In carrying out its mission Elan counts on a multicultural team with members coming from a variety of countries and continents. Seven paid staff members and six long-term interns (“volontaires civiques”) and a circle of motivated members and volunteers.
In the LALI project élan will serve the project team as coordinator organisation and will ensure that the intercultural approach is well integrated in the pedagogical tools that we develop together.
Elan Interculturel est une association créée par des psychologues, des chercheurs et des animateurs – dont la plupart ont immigré à Paris – et se sont intéressés au développement de méthodes innovantes pour faciliter la communication interculturelle, la collaboration et l’adaptation.
Les objectifs principaux de Elan Interculturel sont de:
- proposer une meilleure compréhension de la façon dont la diversité influence nos vies,
- dévoiler les ressources inhérentes à la diversité
- favoriser le développement de compétences pour les individus et les organisations qui leur permettent de bénéficier de la diversité culturelle et des relations interculturelles.
Notre travail se concentre autour de trois thématiques :
- le développement de compétences interculturelles pour les professionnels, principalement dans les secteurs de l’éducation, du social et de la santé.
- le développement de compétences pour l’intégration et l’entreprenariat des migrants, en particulier des femmes migrantes,
- la médiation artistique : utiliser la création artistique et les rencontres autour de l’art comme moyens pour le dialogue et le développement personnel.
Depuis sa création, Elan Interculturel a proposé des formations à plus de 1000 professionnels travaillant dans les secteurs du social, de l’éducation et de la santé, offert de nombreux ateliers pour migrants, personnes en mobilité interculturelle, et participé à plus de vingt partenariats européens sur différents aspects et groupes cibles intéressés par l’adaptation et le dialogue interculturels.
Dans la mise en œuvre de ses missions, Elan Interculturel compte sur une équipe multiculturelle comprenant des membres provenant d’une grande variété de pays et de continents : sept salariés et six « volontaires civiques », plus un cercle de bénévoles et de membres motivés.
Dans LALI, Elan Interculturel est le coordinateur de projet et s’assure que l’approche interculturelle est bien intégrée dans les outils pédagogiques développés.
Elan Interculturel ist eine von PsychologInnen, ForscherInnen und TrainerInnen gegründete Organisation – von denen die meisten selbst nach Frankreich immigrierten und die sich für das Erforschen und Entwickeln neuer Methoden interessierten, die interkulturelle Kommunikation, Kommunikation und Anpassung fördern.
Die Hauptziele von Elan Interculturel sind:
- Ein besseres Verständnis dafür zu schaffen, wie Diversität unsere Leben bereichert
- Bewusstsein erzeugen für die Ressourcen, die Diversität bietet
- Kompetenzen für Individuen und Organisationen entwickeln, um von kultureller Diversität und Übergängen zwischen Kulturen zu profitieren
Unsere Arbeit konzentriert sich auf folgende drei Pole:
- Entwicklung interkultureller Kompetenzen für ProfessionalistInnen, zumeist in Bildungs- / Sozial-/ oder Gesundheitsbereich
- Entwicklung von Kompetenzen für Integration und UnternehmerInnentum für MigrantInnen- insbesondere weibliche Migrantinnen.
- Kunstmediation, die künstlerische Gestaltung und die Begegnung mit Kunst als Mittel für Dialog und persönliche Entwicklung einsetzt
Seit der Entstehung ermöglichte Elan Interculturel mehr als 1000 ProfessionalistInnen, die im Bildungs- / Sozial-/ oder Gesundheitsbereich arbeiten, interkulturelle Trainings, bot Workshops für MigrantInnen und Menschen der interkulturellen Mobilität an, nahm an mehr als zwanzig europäischen Partnerschaften teil, die verschiedene Aspekte und Zielgruppen des interkulturellen Dialogs und der Adaption behandeln.
In der Durchführung seiner Mission baut Elan Interculturel auf ein multikulturelles Team auf, dessen Mitglieder von einer Vielzahl von Staaten und Kontinenten abstammen. Es besteht aus sieben bezahlten Mitgliedern und sechs LangzeitpratikantInnen („volontaires civiques”) sowie einer Reihe von engagierten Mitgliedern und Freiwilligen.Im LALI Projekt fungiert élan als Koordinationsorganisation und gewährleistet, dass interkulturelle Ansätze gut in die pädagogischen Werkzeuge, die gemeinsam entwickelt werden, integriert sind.
Élan Interculturel -järjestön keskeiset päämäärät ovat:
- lisätä ymmärrystä erilaisuuden vaikutuksista elämäämme
- lisätä tietoisuutta erilaisuuteen liittyvistä resursseista ja
- kehittää yksilöiden ja yhteisöjen tietotaitoja, jotta he voivat hyötyä kulttuurisesta moninaisuudesta ja kulttuurirajojen ylittämisestä.
Työmme keskittyy kolmen teeman ympärille:
- pääasiassa koulutus-, sosiaali- ja terveydenhoitosektorin ammattilaisten kulttuurien välisten kompetenssien kehittäminen
- maahanmuuttajien, erityisesti naisten, integraatioon ja yrittäjyyteen liittyvien taitojen kehittäminen
- taiteen välittäminen; taiteen luomisen ja taidekohtaamisten käyttäminen dialogin ja henkilökohtaisen kehityksen apuna
Perustamisestaan lähtien Élan Interculturel on tarjonnut kulttuurien välistä koulutusta yli 1000 ammattilaiselle, jotka työskentelevät sosiaali-, koulutus- ja terveyssektorilla, ja järjestänyt lukuisia työpajoja eri kulttuurien välillä navigoiville maahanmuuttajille. Lisäksi se on osallistunut yli 20 eurooppalaiseen kulttuurien välistä dialogia ja sopeutumista käsittelevään eri kohderyhmille tarkoitettuun hankkeeseen.
Élan interculturel toteuttaa missiotaan monikulttuurisen tiiminsä kanssa, jonka jäsenet tulevat monesta eri maasta ja maanosasta. Sillä on seitsemän palkattua työntekijää, kuusi pitkäkestoista harjoittelijaa (”volontaires civiques”) sekä ryhmä motivoituneita jäseniä ja vapaaehtoistyöntekijöitä. LALI-projektissa Élan toimii projektin koordinoijana sekä varmistaa kulttuurien välisen lähestymistavan hyvän integroinnin opetustyökalupakkiin, jota kehitämme yhdessä.
